About Pinelever
Quick answer: Pinelever is one person, Ethan, based in Raleigh and working across the Triangle. I help owner-run businesses put AI to work on the repetitive tasks that eat their week. I show up, learn your business, fix it fast, then move on.
Why I do this
I've spent the last year building AI automations for office and admin work: sorting email, pulling details out of documents, filling in reports, turning messy notes into clean records. The pattern was always the same. The hard part was never the AI. It was seeing exactly where the time went and setting the tool up around how people really work.
Most small businesses don't have someone whose job is to figure that out. That's the gap Pinelever fills.
How I work
- I show up. In person, at your business, anywhere in the Triangle.
- I learn your business. I sit with the people who do the work and watch the real thing.
- I fix it fast. I start with the quickest win and keep the rest moving in days, not months.
- Then I move on. You own what I built, with a one-page how-to. If something new comes up later, you call me.
What I can't guarantee
I can build the tools and train your team. I can't force people to accept that.
Whether it sticks comes down to your culture: leadership backing the new way of working, and the team getting time to learn it. The businesses that get the most from this are the ones where the owner says "we're doing this" and stays with it. I'll make it as easy to adopt as I can. The rest is up to you.
What you can expect
- One person, start to finish. The person who visits is the person who builds it, trains your team and answers your email.
- Fixed prices, agreed before I start.
- Your data stays in your accounts. I work through your logins, with you present, and I don't use your data to train anything.
- Tool-flexible. I prefer Claude at the moment, but I set you up on whatever fits the software you already use. Getting comfortable in one tool beats switching every few weeks.
- Straight answers. If AI isn't the right fix for something, I'll say so.
Where I work
Based in Raleigh. Working across the Triangle: Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Morrisville and Wake Forest.
Why "Pinelever"
The pine is North Carolina's state tree. It stands for where I work and who I work with. A lever lets one person move far more than they could alone. That's what AI should do for a small business: help the people you already have do more of the work that matters.
